DIY Black Window Casing With Spray Paint

Sometimes it feels like I have a never ending list of house projects going on. And while I'm not afraid of a serious DIY project, sometimes it's nice to do something simple and fast but gives big results. Spray painting window casings does just that! I recently added board and batten in my son's room and painted everything white. The walls and windows all seemed to blend together so in order to make something pop, I spray painted his window casings black. Super simple and really the only part that took the longest was taping everything off.

Supplies Needed:

Krylon Color Maxx Primer (Gray)

Rust-oleum Satin Paint and Primer In One (I used Black)

Painters Tape

Plastic Drop Cloths - (I used 5)

Mask

Goggles

Fan

Hair Net - (You do not want spray paint in your hair!)

I started by taping off around each window, leaving the casing exposed. Then I went back in and taped the glass. I used blue painters tape and it took about a roll and a half for the entire wall. After the windows are taped, I put one plastic dropcloth down on the floor and then taped another one to the wall, one between each window, and another above the window to create a tent. I covered the larger areas with the plastic but used the tape for the detail work. It was a bit tedious but I took my time with the detail work to make sure the lines were straight so I didn't end up with paint in places I didn't want.

The grilles are the pieces that run up and across the middle of the window (to create a grid effect) The grilles on these windows are in between the glass - so there was not an actual piece of the grille that was on top to paint like the surrounding outside pieces. I still wanted these to be black and have the same look, so I taped the glass and followed the outline of the grille. I then just spray painted the actual window so it looks like the grille is painted too. It's really just the glass that is painted but you can't even tell unless you looked really really close. You can see in the picture below how I taped it off.

Once everything was covered, I first used Krylon Color Maxx Primer in Gray, adding 2 coats and waiting about 15 minutes between coats. Then I used Rust-oleum Paint and Primer In One, in the color Black. I sprayed two coats of the black waiting 15 minutes between coats. I let the paint dry for another 15 minutes before removing the tape. I want the paint to still be a bit tacky when I pull it which prevents the paint from peeling.

There you have it! Super simple DIY that makes a big impact!

  • At this point in life, bad situation emerge for us to learn our mistakes and figure out what next is to be done. I’m really delighted I eventually found a real competent hacker after been spammed by several sham hackers I followed their Bogus recommendation. Never knew that my wife Had a son out of wedlock without informing me about it for almost 12years of our relationship until I noticed she picks strange calls on her phone and send some money to strange man. As much as it is inappropriate to spy on one’s spouse phone it’s also necessary to be sure that your relationship is in perfect shape. All my gratitude goes to this Genuine GeniusHacker-:jamesmckaywizard at gmail dot com who got to clone/hack her phone completely to the extent that I had a clone of her phone and could read all her whatsapp & amp;Facebook message, call logs text message and GPS to know where and what she is always up to. I’m really grateful for this great experience, it really helped me find out the truth about my marriage. They are also specialize on hacking and recovery of lost funds, kindly send a message if you’ve experience any of these issues..Email: jamesmckaywizard at gmail dot com or WhatsApp +31657.4.46.248. Kindly reach out to them and thank me later.

  • My Bitcoin Recovery Experience with Cloudstrike Cybersecurity

A few weeks ago, I made what I thought was an irreversible mistake — I accidentally sent about $117,000 worth of Bitcoin to the wrong wallet address. It was supposed to be used for a major purchase, but one typo changed everything. The moment I hit “send” and realized what had happened, my heart sank. I honestly felt like my world was falling apart. That money was everything I had.

Like many people, I’d always heard that crypto transactions are final and basically impossible to recover. I started reading forums, asking around, and all I saw were messages telling me there was nothing I could do. It felt hopeless.

Then I came across a company called Cloudstrike Cybersecurity . I’ll admit — I was skeptical at first. It just sounded too good to be true, but I figured I had nothing to lose. I contacted them through their email[Cloudstrikecyber@gmail.com]

To my surprise, they responded quickly and professionally. They asked for all the relevant transaction details — the wallet address I sent the Bitcoin from, the one I sent it to, the transaction ID, and a few other things. I sent it all over, still unsure if anything would come of it.

But within 48 hours, they got back to me with incredible news: they had tracked down the transaction and recovered my funds. I couldn’t believe it. I actually had to reread the email a few times to let it sink in. They guided me step by step and transferred the recovered Bitcoin back to my wallet. I was in shock — and honestly, beyond grateful.

I never thought recovery like this was even possible, but Cloudstrike Cybersecurity proved me wrong. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I highly recommend reaching out to them. They truly saved me.
